There are two battling forces — good and bad. Good people sometimes don’t know how to protect themselves, stupid or discriminative policies that exclude certain people from getting good enough medicare or food, or diseased babies don’t have a good enough society to provide advanced enough medical care or universal healthcare. Who said e.g. lack of universal healthcare, lack of universal education, or lack of internet access (basic human rights and the rights for transparency) is not caused by evil side of humanity? You think. This shall not be an ideological question.
The main purpose from spirituality perspective could be this — the universe wants us to be utmostly good, moral, and experience love. If the circumstance or the environment is not good for the soul’s development, the evilness will take away the person; if the soul doesn’t choose to make the best choice, the universe probably will teach a lesson to this soul and the collective souls in general; sometimes, the good soul dies young for good causes e.g. for social justice, justice league in war areas, humanity progression, or universe evolution.
There’re always two battling forces — the justice, goodness, and the injustice, the evilness. Even some diseases, unjust information or information distortion like hereditary wrong gene sequence and systemic ill-intended lies are all created by evilness. We need to protect ourselves by walking with the good people and help to eliminate negative things in our life, our society, even in our humanity.
What I learnt from my experience is that the universe has the highest moral standard for the good people or the people who are born with resources, if they cannot attain to their highest moral standard or if they choose the path to not practice their heaviest responsibilities to benefit the most people who are in illness, poverty or difficulties, the universe will teach lessons or you can call it a punishment although people around regard them good enough (God/Divine/Universe is a strict father but definitely the intention is not the end of life but growth towards maturity and even more responsibility), and also on significant life lessons like family, love, friendship and responsibility, and wavering efforts in the field of medicine and technology because of the importance of spiritual love and the importance of these two fields mentioned above on bringing the most significant progress or evolution to humanity.

So the best is to make the best decision at first, and if you don’t, no matter if you know it’s severe or not at that time, you will regret and need redemption, and the only way to mend your specific mistakes is through relentless good actions.
